One of Australia's most internationally toured performance artists, William Yang performs monologues accompanied by slide projections, in a unique form of performance theatre.
William Yang / Artistic overview
Australian-born William Yang began exploring his Chinese heritage - lost through assimilation - in his 40s. In 1989 Yang began performing his monologues with slide projection in the theatre, integrating his skills as writer and visual artist. Recognised as a unique form of performance/theatre, these performances have since become Yang’s favoured form of performance.
