Tjupurru is an artist mixing cultures, technologies and sounds from over thousands of years to bring something unique to the current music scene, something he describes as 21st century Didjetronica.

Tjupurru is a proud descendant of the Djabera Djabera tribe of the West Australian Kimberleys. With the addition of sampling and electronic effects, Tjupurru performs as a one-man band creating songs and sounds that criss-cross musical genre. Since his debut at the 2006 Big Sound Festival in Brisbane he has toured/supported international artists such as Kaki King (USA), Leo (France), That One Guy (USA), Pitch Black (NZ), Bela Flek and the Flecktones (USA) and performed with Marissa Monte (Brazil) at The Sydney Opera House.

In 2007, Tjupurru was invited by Airto Moreira (the man who brought Latin music to the world via Miles Davis, John Coltrane) to collaborate live on stage at Jazz in the Domain for The Sydney Festival, in front of 120,000 people. Tjupurru has been invited to perform at festivals across the country, including The Dreaming, Bellingen Global Carnival, and Earthdance. With invitations being finalised for New Caledonia, France, Canada and Korea, Tjupurru is set to go global.
