Themes of racism and discrimination underlie much of My Le Thi's work, and through her art practice, Thi seeks to create a bridge, a common ground for connecting both the differences and similarities between people.

My Le Thi is a Sydney based installation artist. Of mixed Chinese and Vietnamese background, Thi came to Australia in 1985, and creates work that draws on her own experiences as a Vietnamese woman living in Australia, and from her involvement in various multicultural residencies.

My Le Thi has exhibited extensively around the world, in Europe, Australia, Asia and the USA. Her work has been included in many key group exhibitions, including ARCO in Spain (2002), Rice & Wheat, Text & Subtext: works of Asian Women Artists from around the world, which toured internationally (2000-2003), The Rose Crossing: Reaching the World, which toured Australia and Asia (1999-2000) and Human Park, Institut de Cultura, Barcelona, Spain.
