the Suitcase Royale is a band of three multi-artists creating 'Junkyard Theatre' in Melbourne that is toured locally and internationally.
the Suitcase Royale / Artistic director biography
Miles O'Neil, Glen Walton and Joseph O'Farrell met at university and originally thought of themselves more as a rock 'n' roll band than theatre practitioners. They began devising their first theatre show as part of a friend's contemporary performance double bill. The result – Felix Listens to the World – showcased the trio's unique aesthetic using found objects, puppetry, shadowplay, animation, lighting and strange inventions.

the Suitcase Royale is dedicated to making new works with an eye for detail and an ambition to construct highly developed and complex performances that impart the simplest of tales. They create 'Junkyard Theatre': from junk left on the curb-side, from the refuge of the city dump and from carelessly placed materials left on your local construction site.
