The Exploders grew up in a place where music meant watching your mother spin vinyl while vacuuming the lounge room ('I’m still emotionally scarred', jokes TJ). In the tradition of the finest garage rock bands, the exploders energy is infectious.
The Exploders / Artistic overview
TJ & Paul, the two founding members of The Exploders, started the band in 2004. They recorded a demo using a couple of hundred bucks worth of recording equipment, played their first gig in May 2004, recorded more demos, played a heap of gigs, signed with Rubber Records, released the demos in album form in 2005, played more gigs including some massive festivals, such as Falls and Splendour in the Grass, and released their second album, Easy and The Sun in 2007.

The Exploders have so far released two albums. Their self titled (2005) received favourable attention from national radio, street press and other music media all over the country. Easy and The Sun was released in 2007. The band toured extensively in 2006 hitting the US as well as all over Australia, and appeared as the house band on Rove Live.
