Andrew Sant / Author biography
Andrew Sant was born in London. Sant migrated with his parents to Melbourne where he completed his education. He has subsequently lived in London at various times, including much of the present decade while being Writing Fellow, consecutively, at two universities. He jointly founded the literary quarterly, Island, and has worked as a teacher, copywriter and editor.

Andrew Sant’s poems have appeared in numerous publications including The Times Literary Supplement, Poetry (Chicago), The Manhattan Review, The Australian, and are represented in major anthologies. They have been collected in ten volumes, the most recent being Album of Domestic Exiles (Black Pepper), Russian Ink (Black Pepper), The Islanders (Shoestring Press), Tremors – New & Selected Poems (Black Pepper) and Speed & Other Liberties (Salt). In 2001 Sant was writer-in-residence at the University of Peking. More recently he has been Writing Fellow at the Universities of Leicester and Chichester in the UK.
