Robyn Stacey's fascination with natural history and her access to important and largely unseen museum collections has resulted in the creation of powerful photographic works. She is currently a member of the visual arts board (2006-2008) of the Australia Council.
Robyn Stacey / Artist biography
Stacey is one of Australia's leading photographers, pairing her exploration of lenticular imaging with a passion for science. Her large and striking images are usually highly coloured and often combine several images, digitally layered. Stacey has a MFA from the University of New South Wales and is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Communication Arts at the University of Western Sydney.

Stacey’s series include Beau Monde, 2006, Supermodels, 2005, and The Collectors Nature, 2003. Stacey is the recipient of major awards and research grants including the Samstag Scholarship in 1994. She completed residencies at the Macleay Museum, Sydney University 2004-6, University of Leiden, Netherlands 2003-06, Historic Houses Trust of NSW 2002, the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney 2001-3, and the National Center for Supercomputuing Applications at the University of Illinois 1993.
