Real TV / Artistic overview
Real TV was co-founded in late 2000 by playwright Angela Betzien and director Leticia Caceres. They have created new work for the Queensland Theatre Company (The Orphanage Project, 2003), La Boite Theatre (Kingswood Kids, 2003), the Queensland Arts Council (Children of the Black Skirt, 2003), and The Stage X Youth Festival (Suitcase, 2001).

Real TV's highly acclaimed production, Children of the Black Skirt, has toured extensively throughout Australia and Hoods was the winner of the 2007 Australian Writer’s Guild Award for Theatre for Young Audiences and the 2007 Richard Wherrett Award for Excellence in Playwriting. Hoods, commissioned by Regional Arts Victoria and Sydney Opera House:Ed premiered in 2006 at the Sydney Opera House, and has toured throughout Australia to much acclaim.
