Jared Thomas / Artistic overview
Jared lectures in communications, film, literature and art at the University of South Australia and is a freelance journalist, playwright and fiction writer. Thomas previously worked as the Manager, Indigenous Arts and Culture of Arts South Australia and is currently the Vice Chair of the Nukunu Peoples Council.

Jared Thomas’ first play Flash Red Ford, performed by a Ugandan company, toured Uganda and Kenya in 1999. In 2002, Love, Land and Money was performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Thomas’ debut novel, Sweet Guy, was published in 2006, and was shortlisted for the 2006 Victorian Premier's Literary Awards, Prize for Indigenous Writing.
