Sydney-based author Charlotte Wood is the acclaimed author of three novels.
Charlotte Wood / Author biography
Charlotte Wood was born in the country town of Cooma, NSW, Australia in 1965. She trained as a journalist and started writing at university, majoring in creative writing. She has worked freelance and on various magazines as writer and sub-editor and has also taught writing at all levels, from community classes to postgraduate students. She began writing novels in the mid 1990s.

Wood’s first novel, Pieces of a Girl, was published in 1999. Both this and her second novel, The Submerged Cathedral, were highly praised by reviewers, and the latter was shortlisted for the Miles Franklin Award in 2005. Her third novel, The Children, was released in October 2007.
