Andrew Bovell is a board member of the Adelaide International Film festival and is currently developing a number of projects.

Andrew Bovell has written a number of well-known plays, including When the Rain Stops Falling, Speaking in Tongues, Holy Day, Who’s Afraid of the Working Class and Scenes from a Separation. Film credits include Lantana, which he adapted from his stage play Speaking in Tongues, and which was directed by Ray Lawrence and produced by Jan Chapman. Lantana received over 10 awards including Best Screenplay at the 2003 London Critics’ Circle Film Awards. Andrew has also co-written two films with Ana Kokkinos, Head On and The Book of Revelation. Andrew also co-wrote the original screenplay of Strictly Ballroom with Baz Luhrmann.
